Privacy Policy

Welcome to IPPulse. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store information when you use our IP intelligence, port scanning, and leak testing services.

1. Data We Collect

When you use IPPulse, we may collect the following data:

  • IP Addresses: We process IP addresses to provide geolocation and security data. Your public IP is also captured in our server logs for rate limiting, security monitoring, and abuse prevention.
  • Browser Data: We may parse your user agent to display browser, operating system, and device information within the dashboard.

2. Interaction with Third-Party Services

IPPulse relies on external APIs to provide accurate intelligence. By using our service, you acknowledge that we may transmit the queried IP addresses or approximate coordinates to the following third-party processors:

  • ip-api.com: Used for geolocation mapping and ASN details.
  • proxycheck.io: Used to detect VPNs, proxies, Tor exit nodes, and generate risk scores.
  • BigDataCloud: Used for reverse geocoding map coordinates on the backend.

3. Data Retention

We do not permanently store end-user IP search histories on our servers. Access logs and rate-limiting data are stored temporarily and are routinely overwritten or deleted. User preference data (such as cookie consent) is stored locally in your browser.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use local storage (e.g., `localStorage`) to save your recent search history locally on your device for your convenience, and to remember your cookie consent preferences. We do not use tracking cookies without your explicit consent via the banner.
